Nursing Admission

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is a four-year baccalaureate degree course. Applicants for the first year level must comply with the requirements set by the FEU-NRMF Admission Committee for General Education.

Requirements are as follows:

  • For incoming first year:
    • 1. Original NSO Birth Certificate

      2. Original 4th year Form 138 (High School Card)

      3. Original two (2) Certification of Good Moral Character (from 2 different school officials/teachers), and

      4. Recent colored 2x2, four (4) pcs. and 1x1, four (4) pcs. ID pictures

  • For foreign applicants:
    • 1. Original Birth Certificate/Resident Certificate

      2. Original 4th Year Form 138 (High School Card)

      3. Original, two (2) Certification of Good Moral Character (from 2 different school officials/teachers)

      4. Recent colored 2x2, four (4) pcs. and 1x1, four (4) pcs. ID pictures

      5. Original copy of Alien Certificate of Registration or Certificate of Recognition as Filipino

      6. Photocopy of Passport and Entry Stamp

  • For non – academic requirements:
    • 1. Applicant should have no physical defects

      2. Height should be at least 5 feet (5’) for female; 5 feet and 2 inches (5’2”) for male.

  • For promotion to the third level of the BSN curriculum – students must pass the:
    • 1. two years of the National Certificate II curriculum, and

      2. the qualifying examination.

  • For promotion to the fourth level – students must:
    • 1. pass all the previous subjects, and

      2. complete the RLE requirements of the previous years.

Rules on Probation/Debarment

    1. Failure in 10 units or more in one academic year during the first two years under the General Education Curriculum would be a cause for debarment.

    2. Failure in 6 units or more in one semester during the third and fourth year would be placed under academic probation.

    3. Students on probation who failed in one subject would be debarred.

    4. Failure in the same subject twice should be a ground for debarment.

Pregnancy

Pregnant students at any age of gestation (AOG) shall be advised to withdraw until she has given birth.

RATING SYSTEM

The standard system of rating student performance is as follows:

  • 1.00………………………95-100% Excellent
  • 1.25………………………92-94%
  • 1.50………………………90-91% Very Good
  • 1.75………………………88-89%
  • 2.00………………………85-87% Good
  • 2.25………………………82-84%
  • 2.75………………………78-79% Satisfactory
  • 3.00………………………75-77% Passed
  • 5.00…………………Below 75% Failed

SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

  • ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP
  • Students who graduated Valedictorian or Salutatorian from high school will be granted full (100%) and partial (50%) scholarships, respectively, on tuition fees for one semester, provided, the student belongs to no less than 50 officially enrolled students.

    Applications for entrance scholarship must be filed with the School of Nursing Office upon enrolment. The applicants must submit the following requirements:

      1. Letter of application for scholarships addressed to the Director of the School of Nursing (3 copies).

      2. Authenticated certification of honors (Valedictorian or Salutatorian) and total number of students enrolled in the batch from the High School Principal of the school where the student graduated (3 copies).


  • ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

    • First and Second Year Levels

      • 1. Full Scholarship - 100% discount on tuition fees is given to students who attained the following grade requirements:

        • GWA – 1.00 – 1.25
        • No grade below 2.00

        2. Partial Scholarship- 50% discount on tuition fees is given to students who attained a GWA 1.00-1.25 but has a grade/s below 2.00 who attained the following grade requirements:

        • GWA – 1.26 – 1.50
        • No grade below 2.00

    • Third and Fourth Year Levels
      • 1. Full Scholarship - 100% discount on tuition fees is given to students who attained the following grade requirements:

        • GWA – 1.00 – 1.50
        • No grade below 2.00

        2. Partial Scholarship - 50% discount on tuition fees is given to students who attained a GWA 1.00 – 1.50 but has a grade/s below 2.00 who attained the following grade requirements:

        • GWA – 1.51 – 1.75
        • No grade below 2.25

NURSING LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) are required by the Government to take the Nursing Licensure Examinations (NLE), which is given twice a year. A review class, “The In-House Review Program,” is offered by the School.
