by Airin M. Basilan

Last September 3, 2005, School of Physical Therapy’s celebration of the PT Week had come to an end with the PT Night held at the Blue Sky Hotel in Cubao, Quezon City.

Attended by the students and faculty members of the school, the night’s program started with a brief opening remarks regarding this year’s theme “Isang Dekada na Kami” from the former PTSC president, Mr. Albert Vargas. It was followed by the intermission numbers courtesy of Snuffbox and Red Roots bands. The latter was joined by Ms. Elizabeth Aguirre, PTRP in a surprise song number where she sang Same Ground (Kitchie’s original).

Also during the party, students who excelled in academically in the previous semester were given recognition. Among the top 10 students were the following:

After the Academic Excellence awarding, Exit Tone band entertained the audience with their set of acoustic performances which was followed by the announcement of winners in the recently concluded PT Sportsfest ’05 where UVR Team was proclaimed the champion. Infrared ranked 2nd while Blackbox and Cryoblue tied for the 3rd place.

Moreso, Ms. Cecille Anne Clemente and Mr. Pastor Eliseo Dayao III were picked as the Female and Male stars of the Night respectively. On the other hand, Ms. Rosalie de Borja, PTRP, was chosen as the faculty of the night.

Indeed, this years’ PT Night became successful because of the support received by PT Student Council from its student constituents of the SPT faculty as well. To entire PT student body, our congratulations.
